Hi, I’m Autumn! I’m a stay at home mom of two kids–Dylan and Anya. They’re wonderful…and normal. And that says a lot about my average success rate in applying the tips and ideas I share here.

I have a degree in Marriage, Family and Human Development. My focus was child development. I definitely learned a lot of useful information about how children develop. I also learned about ideal ways to teach and discipline and foster growth. This informs how I go about trying to actually teach my children and help them grow, BUT the application of that information is so much harder than those college professors ever led me to believe.

Just so you know, within 24-hours of his birth , Dylan had taught me that the “ideal” was actually going to exist in my life only in very brief, relatively sporadic moments. Learn those critical mom-lessons fast, I say!
